Looks like a beautiful, yet typical, WVA country road.
Deadly beautiful trees in northern Michigan. The result of the recent ice storm up here. Our electric coop states that we could remain without power for 2-3 weeks yet. Lost power on March 29.
The 80′ trees that flank the road in front of our crib create a barrel vault ceiling that is stunning in the fall. The leaves are gone now and the sun shines in, but that won’t last for long. Them 16″ wide sycamore leaves do a fine job at blocking the sun.

There is an enormous old shaggy barked hickory at the bottom of the hill behind my farmhouse.
