Itchy Feet Time
Gets on this time of year and I start thinking road trips to the back country.

Out in the dry lands, roads can keep tracks for a long time … until a rare flash flood comes roaring through a narrow canyon on its way to nothingness in a dried out playa and wipes all traces away.
Don’t your feet just getting to itching wanting to know what’s up this canyon?
I spend a lot of time and gas finding out the answer is usually “Nowhere in particular” but sometimes …
Maybe I’ll run across Brigadoon … or maybe I did already.

Only for a chance meeting with Cyd Charisse.
Her remains? 🙂
“Don’t your feet just getting to itching wanting to know what’s up this canyon?” Yes, and where it is at and just how far that cave goes and is the cut man made.
Natural canyon, not a cave. Goes back several miles but widens and opens up as you get higher.
Located in the back country outside Death Valley. This one eventually crosses the state line between California and Nevada as I recall.
Not only can you get way lost back in these canyons but chances are your body won’t be found anytime soon if no one knows where or if to look.
Be Prepared. To walk out.
I learned that lesson the hard way (not at this place) but obviously survived.
Many Thanks.
