That mamma looks kinda boney and cold but the little guy looks fine.
Mothers in the animal kingdom are absolute warriors. The bigger they are and longer they have to carry those babies around the more serious they are about protecting them.
Yeah, that Mammy could use a couple bales of hay asap.

Here in northeastern Massachusetts we have sightings
of wildlife as well. A solitary Fawn was running on the
grass beside the road we were driving on today. No mother within sight. Makes one wonder and worry.
My Blazer has an unusually LOUD horn.
When I see a creature, wild or domestic, on or near the road I lean on the horn hard, hoping it will develop a fear of the roads.
