It Was Just The Other Day
I was speaking of it being in the 80s.
Clouds had started blowing in yesterday afternoon; when they cleared up later this morning, those hills not far above us had some kind of white coating.
Don’t say it! There’s a short ban on 4-letter words here.
I figured it was Trump messing with the climate again.
Whatever it was disappeared by later in the day … but it isn’t T-shirt weather.

Went to Arrowhead on Sunday and it was an overcast 86F. Light rain on the drive home to Wichita from Kansas City. Really cooled off yesterday and it was nice to walk around the parking lot at werk for a few minutes at lunch time.
Days are noticeably getting shorter and the garden chilis are trying to put out like two dollar whores making payments on a Cadillac. This is the third year of life for my Peter Pepper chili and I have gobs of those hot chilis. I will freeze some, dry the rest then run them through the coffee grinder for sprinking later. These are hot enough that they are only good for cooking with. I may dig that thing up and bring it indoors again this Fall. I wonder how long it can live? I’ll have to cut it WAY back as it liked one corer of the small garden and grew enormously.
