Hey, Mr. Tambourine Man,
play a song for me
I'm not sleepy
and there ain't no place I'm goin' to
Hey, Mr. Tambourine Man,
play a song for me
In the jingle jangle morning,
I'll come followin' you
Take me for a trip upon
your magic swirling ship
All my senses have been stripped
And my hands can't feel to grip
And my toes too numb to step
Wait only for my boot heels to be wanderin'
I'm ready to go anywhere,
I'm ready for to fade
Unto my own parade
Cast your dancing spell my way
I promise to go under it
Nice picture, as always, DT. Hope you and Mrs. DT are having fun.
The ‘Road Trip’ posts and comments of the last days brought to mind a favorite old song …….
Lost and alone on some forgotten highway
Travelled by many remembered by few
Lookin’ for something that I can believe in
Lookin’ for something that I’d like to do with my life
There’s nothin’ behind me and nothin’ that ties me
To somethin’ that might have been true yesterday
Tomorrow is open and right now it seems to be more
Than enough to just be here today
And I don’t know what the future is holdin’ in store
I don’t know where I’m goin’, I’m not sure where I’ve been
There’s a spirit that guides me, a light that shines for me
My life is worth the livin’, I don’t need to see the end

Sweet Surrender John Denver – Search
Thanks JD. I’m a proud John Denver fan from back before anyone knew his name. Look up his jab at 60s Country-Western with a song called “You Done Stomped on My Heart and You Mashed That Sucker Flat”. 🙂 (And I like Country Western.)
First time I heard that one was on a Mason Williams album …. nothing to match those days …. not even close now
Love the lyrics.
not a particularly well known song but the lyrics always resonated with me
Beautiful picture but canola oil is not good for humans.
The Palouse is a gorgeous part of the state. It used to be full of Hungarian Partridge in fields such as this, and Blue Grouse in the mountains.
