Update
This site was subjected to a brute-force attack which mostly affected me as administrator. The domain host fixed the issue but I have some clean-up to do. If any of you notice any issues, please let me know through email.
Meanwhile, today’s “Picture Of Inspiration“:

Used to go skinny-dippin’ out there many, many long-times-ago. Wasn’t so over-grown then.
PSA: It’s never safe to do such things alone …
Seems to be OK now.
Regarding that pond – 2 key words.
skinny-dippin’ & alone
What would be the point?
I only did that once, long, long ago, in a similar location and I wasn’t alone.
Oh, no … I always followed safety principles and had a “buddy” … if girls can be considered “buddies” (skinny dippin’ with guys? I left that to the girls). I can even remember some of their names – I wonder what happened to some of them. Lots of lakes in our area; swimming was a fairly regular occurrence on hot, still, humid summer nights. Mosquitos could be an issue but somehow, we were able to ignore them.
There was a time not long ago when I would not have to explain the “alone” I was with was a gurl.
The farm where I grew up has a river with great swiming holes on the west end of the farm. Great memories of swiming with cousins and friends after a hot afternoon of baling hay or running the old open station combine. Enjoyed now by five generations of family. Summer of ’79 when the were four beautiful girls in the neighborhood. My brother and I would watch them riding their horses to the river, then we knew it was time to take a break from the hay field.
There is/was a clothing optional beach around Canaveral National Seashore…
Coincidentally, there’s a clothing optional pool in my backyard. I’ve given fair warning to the neighbors: Peek over the fence and be prepared to be horrified.
LOL 🙂
He said horrified. lol
We had a 6 foot tall fence around the pool, back and side yards.
And NO neighbors for as far as the eye could see.
It was paradise for awhile….
This is what it looks like today after the people that bought it and did what they thought was better, but wasn’t. We built it in 2002 and sold it in 2006 for a $200k profit and moved up here to the woods with peace of mind.
