How We Die(d)…
there will be
a time
when we die
that others
will say
it happened so fast
so unexpected.
when in truth
the soul had been
crying
for ever so long
praying for comfort
for healing the wounds
that drained
the life
from the life
that could have
been saved.
But no one
noticed. or heard.
or cared.
How sad.
While we were sitting on the porch the other evening my wife said that her and I could end up like Gene Hackman and his wife.
It’s just her and me and our pets living in peace out here in the woods.
Our only child and his family are 1200 miles away, and we go weeks or more without seeing other people.
Kinda scary when viewed from this side.
When viewed from the other side, not so much.
I envy the relationship you and your wife have.
Maybe you should check-in with someone you trust every week or two.
Just to verify you’re still breathing.
Don’t know if it’s true or not but….
