Prequel: from “After The Pussification” – an explanation by Kim Du Toit of the web site “Splendid Isolation”
For those who’ve been living on another planet for the past two decades, I once wrote a screed called The Pussification Of The Western Male, which took about an hour to write and was a stream-of-consciousness rant against the demeaning of men in Western society. The piece garnered an immediate and voluminous online response (thank you, Insty), caused my host’s (website and email) servers to crash and necessitated finding a new host because they kicked me off.
Follows is the forbidden text. The article is long enough that the post is an excerpt with a rarely used “Read More”
We have become a nation of women.
It wasn’t always this way, of course. There was a time when men put their signatures to a document, knowing full well that this single act would result in their execution if captured, and in the forfeiture of their property to the State. Their wives and children would be turned out by the soldiers, and their farms and businesses most probably given to someone who didn’t sign the document.
There was a time when men went to their certain death, with expressions like “You all can go to hell. I’m going to Texas.” (Davy Crockett, to the House of Representatives, before going to the Alamo.)
There was a time when men went to war, sometimes against their own families, so that other men could be free. And there was a time when men went to war because we recognized evil when we saw it, and knew that it had to be stamped out.
There was even a time when a President of the United States threatened to punch a man in the face and kick him in the balls, because the man had the temerity to say bad things about the President’s daughter’s singing.
We’re not like that anymore.
Danke.
It needs to be said.

Anybody know if this is true?

He’s making a few assumptions … and neglecting a few realities but as stated, he’s not incorrect. Mathematically, it is so; engineering-wise?, hm-m-m… Lots of things are possible mathematically that are not practical in reality. At least, not to our understanding today.
It’s not terribly difficult to measure a gravitational difference of 2 inches or less. In general, I trust DeGrasse a bit more than Bill Nye, the “Science” Guy. (As far as I know, Bill Nye has a bachelor’s degree in Mech Eng. Maybe good for engineering, not quite “scientist” level- especially outside the field of mech eng).
DeGrasse is a well-regarded scientist (astrophysicist) but I have little faith in his commentary on political issues – including climate science. “97% of scientists agree with their funding”
Why is this stuff even in the food in the first place?
Either someone approved of it, or didn’t disprove it.
The Trump administration appears poised to take action on a broader set of petroleum-based synthetic dyes that are used to make food and beverages brightly colored and more appealing to consumers.
The Food and Drug Administration seems to be little more than just another “Gov’t Make Work” program meant to benefit some at the expense of others. It is so infuriating – the criminal behavior of it all.

They better keep their grimy hands off my M&M peanuts!
For Easter I gave my wife a 1lb bag of plain and another of peanut, M&M’s. She’ll pistol whip anybody over them.
I ate the ears off the Dove bunny she gave me then I wrapped it back up and put it in the drawer. In a month I’m getting off the chocolate train.
I have to control my chocolate (sugar) intake because of diabetes
but lawdamighty that’s not easy at times.
For me, affordable chocolate just isn’t enjoyable any more.
Couple months ago I had a hankering for a Snicker so I grabbed one at a store.
ONE DOLLAH AND SEVENTY-NINE CENTS + 8% TAX!
And it was a little bigger than my thumb. My thumb! WTF???
Then, after I ate it I wondered what I just ate.
Yeah, I recognized the peanuts, but little else.
None of the swirled flavors were recognizable.
Probably all chemicals, man made in a lab.
Never again.
And it seems most processed foods are the same way now, created with no connection to anything natural. RFK is about 20 years too late, and 50 times too slow.
I want to have a greenhouse. Maybe 20′ x 40′. Nothing fancy. But workable year round. It’s all about control, and I want more of it.
Snickers used to be one of my favorites. Pretty yucky now.
I think the greenhouse is a great idea.
