Free?
Aside from the concept of anything “free” from the government, we have this:
“‘Free’ Government Money Accounts For 19% Of All Personal Income“
“Free money includes Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, Social Security, and more…“
If Social Security and Medicare are “free”, what the hell are all those deductions out of my paychecks for the last umpteen years paying for?
A stoic might say that’s not free, that’s “redistribution”.
A frothing maniac like me would say it’s THEFT with 10,000,000 million support words to glaze your eyes over.
Ya know, I go back and forth on this subject depending on how much alcohol I have consumed.
On one hand the people should try to get as much “free” money out of the system as possible to make it sink even harder, making everyone massive thieves for the rest of their natural lives.
Then there’s the logical side where I believe ALL people should do the right thing and not steal anything, ever. IOW, just because the criminal gov’t is an inherent thief doesn’t mean everyone should become too.
Why, to point 2?
Because you have to live with yourself.
You know what I mean. Your conscience.
If I didn’t already know how to run a business or a country without resorting to theft, I’d likely make point 1 permanent in my memory banks, but as it is I do know how to do that, so the stealing done by gov’t is unnecessary.
At this stage of my life I don’t worry about BIG things like this because I have lots of smaller things to deal with that I can control. I get more satisfaction making successes than putting up with frustrations.
Eventually this criminal system will fail, as it must, and maybe I’ll be lucky enough to be dust before that happens.
