Tunesday – Egyptian Beats – Habib Tanar
A sample of some obscure – and some maybe not obscure – tunes from my strange and off-the-wall collection.
Today’s selection: Egyptian Beats “Habib Tanar”
I’m not sure I understand this distaste for music played with sheep stomachs but so be it.
This ain’t bagpipes …

DT, your photos are wonderful, some are more than wonderful and almost always stimulate interesting comments. And the stories that often accompany the photos show just what a varied life, full of experiences and curiosity, you have led. Stories of aged purple glass, railroads, deserts and mountains, old cars and trucks, trees and flowers, mining towns and odd music. Makes you realize how much other than politics, religion and money, there is to talk and think about and how many here have similarly led full and fascinating lives. No one’s life is really ever ordinary.
So today’s post is Egyptian music. Yesterday the President’s plane was escorted by the Egyptian air force in an honorary salute to his peace efforts. Seems like this music was the perfect choice.
Ghostsniper’s absence from the site is still really a loss for all who lurk, view or comment here regularly. Hope he comes back soon to tell us something clever or funny or just to be
cranky.
Ditto!
Thank you … 🙂
“almost always stimulate interesting comments”
That’s the idea behind this site – something aside from politics … most of the time.
The Egyptian music at this time was coincidence – or a sign?. I changed the tune at the last minute – but I knew nothing of the agreement at the time.
Yep – missing ghost. Missing Casey too for that matter.
Wasn’t bad. 100% better than filthy rap.
