When we lived in suburbia 20 years ago it was nothing at all to jump in the ride and go somewhere just because. Everything was fairly close by so, why not? Hundreds of times per year. 20k-40k miles per year.
Out here in ruralville we quickly learned another way. Make way less trips and do multiple things in each trip. We have 2 vehicles and put less than 3k miles on them together. It’s not just the cost of the gas, but the more you use a vehicle the more they cost.
As far as I’m concerned they can raise gas prices to $10 a gallon and it won’t bother me much. What it might do is make the roads a little safer as people won’t be driving as much.

How about chow mein noodles? With the blessing of O’Biden, China has a full blown army within our gates and they are actively working against us in this Iran conflict.
