On The Ballot
A bunch of stuff: Senators, Representatives, abortion, English, some state offices …
But most important:
Ballot Question: Which of the following guns should be designated as the state gun of Idaho? Please choose only one answer.
- Winchester Model 1894 (.30-30);
- Winchester Model 1873 “Gun that Won the West” (.44-40);
- 1873 Colt Single Action Army Revolver “Peacemaker” (.45 Colt);
- M1 Garand rifle (.30-06);
- Colt M1911 .45 automatic Colt pistol (.45 ACP); or
- Remington Model 700 bolt-action rifle (.30-06)
Unfortunately, the Springfield Model 1873 45-70 is not a choice; neither is “All of the Above”.

The one(s) I want the most:
Winchester Model 1873 .45
1873 Colt Single Action Army Revolver .45
and a .45 Derringer, and an 8ga coach gun.
You can lash all that to a plain ropin’ saddle then park a Paint stallion up under it, and get outta my way.
while a 45-70 is not a choice, it sure hits the sweet spot.
