We got hummingbirds!
One showed up yesterday, a mammy, and my wife immediately got 2 feeders up on the shepherds hook out front. Summer has officially begun!

Also, I fired up the AC in my office 2 days ago. The heat was tolerable but the humidity was dragging me down.

I want to build a wall piece that looks like this.
I’m in the designing stage right now.

Sitting on the porch last evening my wife remarked how big the hosta’s were already that are all along the front of the porch. It was only a little more than a month ago there was no visible sign of hosta’s and the area was covered in snow. Amazing transformation.

A beautiful picture which brings back memories of places I have been that truly have a warm aura. That said, we are being bombarded with phony scams on our email accounts. Is anyone else having the same problem? These scams all look real, use offbeat shades of blue as backdrop but when you click on the senders name it comes up with names of companies we cannot even pronounce.

More info: look up the links by searching for the italicized and underlined phrase

If you are getting “spam bombed”, check any accounts such as PayPal, Amazon, eBay etc. where you may have money. Carefully examine all emails for strange purchases which you haven’t made. Read Spam attack on your Gmail account  Spam bombers do this in the hope that you will miss emails informing you of a withdrawal/theft of funds or a purchase.

Otherwise, spammers are constantly searching for new ways to defeat Spam filters. Phishers are searching for new ways to steal your personal information. What is phishing?  Spam and phishing volumes vary from day to day, not much that can stop this.

  • You may have unsubscribed previously to a spam email in error, or you may have replied in error, or in some cases a person may be signing you up for malicious reasons.(see above)
  • Either just mark as Spam in the normal way, if they are in your Inbox, or if asking for personal information, report as phishing

Google will pick these selections up and train their algorithm accordingly over time. There is no way to actually stop receiving spam, although Google do filter a lot out before it gets to you.

Never, ever click to open a suspicious page. Once you connect to open a page, bad things become possible – much of your contact information becomes available. I’d suggest you changes your passwords RIGHT NOW to be on the safe side. I’m deleting your last message because you posted a potentially bad link. It’s why I hesitated to post live links.

Do not even view the spam emails.
Doing so sends a message back to them that the email account is active and more spam emails will ensue.

Most email programs will allow you to “block” spam emails.
This means that when you receive a spam it will go directly to the “junk” folder. Again, do not view any spam emails.

Simply right click on the junk folder and select “Empty” and the emails will be deleted.

I get at least 8 spam emails to my junk folder every dam day and I do as I described above. It is so annoying to see them things lurking on my computer.

I paid for the computer.
I pay for the email.

But complete strangers, criminals, get to use my computer and email for their own benefit at my expense.

The criminal gov’t will never address this criminal problem directly.
