Oh! She’s a beauty! Because of my love for trains, my DD –the interior designer–gifted me with a very large water color of a Henschel locomotive. On my side of the bed I have a Goines of a little boy standing next to a large train.

Anybody paying attention?

Why do you suppose there have been NO arrests yet?

This is the AT&SF 2926 which is one of the last coal-fired steam engines built 1944. It was retired in 1956 and sat rusting in a park in Albuquerque until about 20 years ago. It used to run from one end of New Mexico to the other and this painting I did shows it rolling through Lamy past the station which is about two miles from my house. George R R Martin bought the train station and has decorated everything with dragons, wolves and monsters which is what everybody always thinks of when they visit a relic of the Old West like Lamy, New Mexico… don’t you? Currently the painting, which measures over 6 feet wide, is back at my house but I’m talking with a new station manager about returning the depot to the classic Western motif in which I decorated it several years ago. I know evil is very popular these days but old time tradition should be encouraged because good triumphs over evil. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFmC7OwZKYE
