Backyard

It’s getting that season. Can’t you just hear the crackling of the fire? the smell of hickory smoke? the smell of burgers?
The buzz of mosquitoes? The smell the citronella? The popping open of another beer?
Another glorious end of day with friends?
Had a teeny tick on my leg this week. Immediately dosed my Shannon with a splash of Advantix II. As soon as the rain lets up I’ll be breaking out the Burgess Propane Fogger loaded with Black Flag fog and the whole property will get fogged. Then we’ll pop bombs in the house and workshop-office.
Gotta keep that vegetation cut back – an almost weekly event. Typically we don’t do the yard firepit til late fall, after it cools down and the insects become scarce. We have a small (36″) firepit on the porch which is about 6′ above the yard, that we use in the summer. Don’t use it much because heat + heat = not much fun.
The pool’s been brought out of hibernation and my wife’s little pond with waterfall is now functioning again and her flower gardens are in full bloom. Summer is well under way.
Sounds just about perfect.
Sounds like a great time!
