Nightstalker

Captured this image last night on one of my trail cams deep in the Oxbow of the crick I live on. It has a certain look that appeals to me cause of the time it was taken, and because the Great Blue Heron have that prehistoric look.

Gettin’ some after hours fishin’ in.
Nuthin’ like a fat frog at 10pm to take the edge off.
Siting on the porch last evening sippin’ some suds and Merlin alerted that a gray heron was in the area. I looked at the pond then at the stream and saw none. I’ve seen em overhead a few times the past few weeks, but I don’t know where the one Merlin heard was.

Not late night fishin’ yet, Ghostsniper, that’ll kickoff around the end of May and well into July. Best hours to be in the water now are late afternoon, a break for dinner, and then step back in the water just before dusk for the evening rise.
Thanks for posting, DT.
Happy to do so. 🙂
Oh dear, guess I’m gonna hafta go there and get one or 4.

My wife likes jalapeno laced margaritas. Just poured a snort of gin.
Looks like a detailed drawing, not a photo. Very cool!
