Good. I hope he succeeds. It’s among the reasons I voted for him.
I get so tired of hearing that.
The US is not a democracy, it’s a constitutional republic. I believe it was Justice Scalia that reaffirmed that the Constitution is not a living document, it’s a legal contract. Democracy – particularly the Democrats version – needs to be flushed away along with the rest of the crap they continually spout off.

Our Constitution allows the lamb to be armed.
Foreign troops waving foreign flags on US soil? There’s an answer to that. Legal with long historical precedent. And it’s what the Marines do.

Last night, President Trump issued a call to National Guard members into federal service to quell protests. He also authorized the Secretary of Defense to use federal military forces if deemed necessary. This marks a dangerous escalation after days of militarized crackdowns on demonstrators demanding safety, dignity, and accountability. Once again, the Administration is threatening force to silence dissent—another clear sign of authoritarian overreach designed to stoke fear and control our communities.
On Sunday, the coalition organizing the No Kings Day of Defiance on June 14 released the following statement in response to the news of the Trump Administration federalizing the National Guard:
“President Trump wants you to believe that the people of Los Angeles are destroying their own communities. That’s false. Here’s the truth: people are peacefully and lawfully protesting the Administration’s abuses of power and the abduction of their neighbors by ICE.
“Instead of listening, the Trump Administration is escalating tensions. Against the guidance of local leaders, they are deploying military force to suppress free speech. They do not care about our safety—it’s about silencing opposition. It’s a blatant abuse of power designed to intimidate families, stoke fear, and crush dissent.
“The No Kings mobilizations on June 14 were already planned as a peaceful stand against authoritarian overreach and the gross abuse of power this Administration has shown. Now, this military escalation only confirms what we’ve known: this government wants to rule by force, not serve the people. From major cities to small towns, we’ll rise together and say: we reject political violence. We reject fear as governance. We reject the myth that only some deserve freedom.
“On Saturday, more than 1,800 rallies will take place across the country—peaceful, organized, and united. Join your community. Bring a sign. Make it clear: we don’t do kings in this country.”

Oh. So, it was the Trump administration that was escalating, implying that everything any previous administration had done was prudent policy.
The D’s are absolutely immune to the concept of FAFO. Biden issues last minute pardons to like 7000 people (which was his right, although the Autopen thingi may come back to bite him), to include blanket back-dated pardons to Milley, Fauci and his family, and they’re shocked, shocked that one of the first things that Trump does is to pardon the J-6ers. When the D’s and the Deep State spent Trump’s first term doing nothing but obstructing his agenda and attempting to impeach him, is it any wonder that Trump started out by swinging Thor’s Hammer through the Executive Branch?
And finally, for decades, the Left erected Sanctuary Cities and States, where they could gather virtue signaling points by rejecting any attempts at enforcing immigration laws that the R’s–meanies that they are–and now, the Orange Man Bad, would want enforced. “Build the Wall”? Who cares? We’ll just open up the gates entirely. We’ll welcome our “undocumented friends” into our communities because we’re nice like that and maybe we’ll get a couple’o extra congressional seats when the Census folks get around to counting noses.
Right now I wouldn’t want to be one of the conglomeration of Illegal Immigrants, Free Palestinians, Antifa and other Theater Kids who are so in the news recently. They’ve gotten a pass for their antics in the past, but those days are coming to a close. The same federal government that tracked cell phones and faces of J-6ers to charge the months and years after their alleged crimes will now track the Theater Kids. Sure. Use a VPN. Send your texts on Signal. Are you sure that the NSA hasn’t infiltrated those?

Looks to me like the “abuse of power” is the rioters, along with the asshole mayor/governor that enables them.
I’m going to be out in nature this weekend, outside the cities in the mountains. But I have to traverse the downtown to get there, and traverse it to come back home. A lot can happen in 30 hours on the weekend. Sure hope I don’t get blockaded or have to travel on a freeway with burnt-out hulks and shattered concrete. There might be a lot of those folks out there that aim to misbehave.
