Started shooting when I was five. Both sides of my family are well versed in firearms, hunting and military service. Glox sitting next to me and my coffee right now. The Glox will go to the safe shortly, as I get ready for work, but will come back out again about bedtime and reside on the nightstand. I shoot nearly every week.
I’m the kind of man who wouldn’t harm a mouse but if I catch someone breaking in my house, I got a 12 gauge shotgun just waiting on the other side. If you don’t want trouble, you best just pass me on by. – Charlie Daniels
Dad and the boy, shootin’ guns, as it should be.
The local lefty rag “the Santa Fe New Mexican” had a glaring newsflash atop their online page yesterday announcing Charlie Kirk had been shot. I wrote in the comments box below that this paper and every other news outlet cared nothing about the Ukrainian girl stabbed on the train by the black freak because it didn’t fit their agenda. However, the killing of Charlie Kirk is a moment to dance and rejoice. The comments quickly filled with laughing emojis, the kind with tears squirting from eyes. Someone wrote, “400 million guns exist so how is this a surprise?” I replied, “400 million guns itching and aching to pull their own triggers. Bad guns… bad.” More comments kept growing almost all of them praising who ever it was who shot Charlie. Then they shut down the comments, not a single one left standing. A little too much truth around the ol’ newsroom yesterday.
Forgot to mention I posted for all to view the video of the stabbing death of Iryna Varuska because the paper wouldn’t touch it. That remained on the screen about an hour before the comments were disappeared and I guess I caused them to think about more than they could handle.

The Miles Mathis dude is extremely tiresome with his “everything is fake” crap. I quit reading him years ago. He says the Beatles never wrote a song, it was some old bald Italian composer. Nobody ever got shot, everything is staged. Edmond Hillary never climbed Everest but faked his death. The Minnesota trans freak that shot up the church? Fake. MS13 is fake. All their tattoos are fake. Lately Miles has a fixation that AI is spreading lies about him and it’s attempting to discredit his career, namely, calling everything fake. Now THAT’S funny! And maybe the only real item on his website.
Word is the rifle, an old Mauser bolt action, has been found.

see eye aye
My understanding is mausers are foreign and 30.06 is not.
shrug
Yeah, I was suspicious of the ammo info. I’ve got three Mausers, one as old as 1898, and they fire a 7.65 which is what you take down an elephant with.
No ghost, not OUR spooks. It was the spooks of that OTHER country that owns our politicians, every judge, and all of the news media. That Country. This is an excellent Mark Dice analysis of what killed Charlie. Mark plays a couple of clips of Charlie saying the unspeakable, if you know what’s good for you.

It is not uncommon to have a Mauser action rebarreled.

Ai is a small part of the issue (disclaimer: I work for IBM). I have been a hiring manager for 30+ years now on Wall Street and now at IBM. I have seen the college grad over that time span get dumber, lazier, more self-absorbed, more confident in knowing nothing, more entitled, more psychologically fragile and unable to handle the sometimes raucous give-and-take of the office environment.
They will not stand to be corrected, even when the result says they are clearly wrong. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the excuse “but my professor never taught me that…”, I have had their parents call me after I’ve corrected their overgrown children or given young employees advice or a project that they’d rather not take on. They insist on using emojis in e-mails, using unclear language and then complain that no one understands them.
They are a victim…of everything. Not surprising when their educational experience has been — boys are bad, white boys are even badder, girls are victims of everything and if they haven’t been to this point, they certainly will be soon. Just showing up is good enough; 60% success is fabulous, you get a trophy for coming in last. Your very existence is a threat to all living things on this planet, you should live in shame about everything…even the stuff you didn’t do.
Unless you’re an “oppressed minority” in which case, swinging from the chandeliers, assaulting fellow workers over minor disagreements, theft, using foul and racist language isn’t unprofessional; it’s your birthright, and everything you don’t like is automatically racist.
It is perfectly acceptable to be functionally illiterate and innumerate, despite the fact that you use calculators and have word processing programs that have spelling and grammar checkers in them. These can be safely ignored. I DARE any modern “educator” to get on an airplane or cross a bridge designed by someone who only knows Common Core Math.
I am not your friend, I am not your parent, nor am I your minister, camp counsellor or psychotherapist, but rather YOUR BOSS, and no, I will not care about your feelz, except to give them the most minimal consideration necessary to motivate you to come to work and excel. If you can’t excel, understand there is no reward, we don’t give out raises for “adequate”; we already pay you for that. We give out raises and promotions for excellence. You don’t get brownie points for just showing up.
The problem is we have created a generation of self-absorbed, truly stupid, mentally-fragile, ego-driven, often neurotic, mollycoddled brats who are glued to a hand-held dopamine generator (smart phone) all day, who are incapable of understanding context, always defensive, always afraid that someone is getting something they aren’t, who will narc one another out at the drop of a hat like they’re Stasi informants, who can cry on command, make excuses for everything in an instant and who believe a piece of paper they incurred $250k in debt for (but which gave them no practical experience) makes them smarter — and better — than anyone else in the room.
You paid for a credential; not an education. The education starts on your first day and, if you’re lucky, never ends until you retire. In the meantime, earn your rewards, the respect you all crave so much but never seem to give, pay your dues like generations of your betters did before you and then STFU.

You speak my language,
“No, it’s NOT “good enough”. I don’t care that you gave it your best; if this is your best, we need to re-think your employment with us”
I won’t give away much if I say we might have been in a position to work together (we didn’t but I did a stint as an outsider at Tom Watson). Mrs DT teaches university math. Oh, boy …
A blog dude who goes by “Good Citizen” has been an interesting place for me to visit several years now. Gerard posted an article by him titled “the View from the Mountaintop” which garnered much applauds. It was at the height of pandemic madness and it was a declaration of making the choice to leave behind those who will never see, but only fall prey again to more controlling lies. Gerard surprised the hell out of me when he bragged about getting vaxxed. Well, we know what happened next. GC has written this today analyzing the recently slain Iryna Zarutska and Charlie Kirk. He’s simply gathering what evidence has been made available, not much really. And he’s consciously not allowing emotion to harsh his mellow.
