In Aftermath
It appears the wailing and gnashing of teeth may be calming down … but it also appears it may be time to go from grieving to remediation.
Here I go again, pointing you away from this site of near-TikTok levels of fascination to one where my words are spoken more elegantly than I am able.
Brandon Smith: “Men Of The West: We Are At War“
https://alt-market.us/men-of-the-west-we-are-at-war/
The problem is that the system is infected. It’s infested by parasites. In order for social discourse to achieve anything constructive, both sides have to be patriotic. Both sides have to love their culture and country to a certain degree and want the best for the future. Leftists and globalists HATE the west. They hate the US. They want to turn it to dust. They want the memory of it erased from history. There is no level of reason or diplomacy that can dissolve their bitter psychopathy.
I was thinking about measured responses – Particularly the subject of “martial law” and whether or not this is a justifiable solution given the circumstances, or a reaction of fear leading to a slippery slope of government authoritarianism.
Frankly, I see martial law as nothing more than a stop gap even with the best of intentions; like giving someone morphine for their Stage 4 cancer. It feels good and takes the pain away for a little while but on the inside the body is still dying. Martial law doesn’t go far enough. The time for measured responses is over.
Consider for a moment, though, what the natural alternative is? What is going to happen next? It’s not hard to predict: It’s going to be open season on leftist activists and the elites who fund them. It’s going to be widespread vigilantism. And, honestly I welcome it. I wish that this was not necessary, but I accept the reality that it is inevitable.
I don’t think leftists understand what is about to happen. I think they have gotten away with their evil for so long they think they are untouchable.
My fear and expectation is that “what is about to happen” will not be much, only a few scattered elements. SSDD. Anything else would be too much effort (/sarc). And near-on half the country “believes” the left – and would rather face prison than change their minds.
[to say nothing of the idea the legal/justice system from police to prisons is likely already against you]
Go ahead. Read the whole thing. Let me (us) know what you think.
I’ve felt vigilantism is inevitable for quite some time now; it’s not just individuals against us, it’s that the remediation system itself has been shattered. The legal system is not a means of balanced justice anymore; putting one’s faith in the courts is like betting one’s economic future on a winning lottery ticket. Yep – you might win.
Consider there’s not much difference between vigilantism and guerilla warfare.
I follow the stock market fairly closely. I’m no expert but between the financial system, geopolitics, and questionable news sources about questionable antics, it feels like the top’s going to blow off any day now. But maybe not by violence … at first.
The stock market is not going up; the value of the dollar is dropping faster than most realize. You are not getting rich, the number simply looks better. You are getting poorer; you’re that half-gallon of ice cream that is now more expensive with less ice cream.
Inflation is going to hit hard; I can envision a change in currency value – the US could pull an FDR; change the dollar to the “new dollar” overnight. How fast did Washington Mutual collapse?
How long can one play Jenga?
Just for consideration, what will people do if the internet is shut down … ?
I think it’s a good idea to have significant cash in hand – the Bank of Mattress. If the banks do shut down and you can’t access your money (how much notice do you think you’ll have?), you can be assured your payment-dues will not stop: groceries, utilities, fuel. How long will it take for the welfare classes to howl once their checks stop, even temporarily?
Like guns: better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Might be a long, hard, cold winter.
When the time comes, don’t be there.

To coincide with your message DT, here’s a Martin Armstrong report regarding what’s going down in Vietnam. The Tyranny of Safety will conquer all. Safety… safety… safety…

I’ve been involved the past 48 hours writing my thoughts within the local newspaper, a leftist rag called the Santa Fe New Mexican. Never did it mention the murder of Iryna Varutska because that doesn’t fit their agenda. Self-loathing white people have no sympathy for innocence, women nor black on white racial crime. However, when Kirk was shot the paper hoisted a yellow banner, a newsflash, atop the computer screen announcing the event, because they knew most Santa Feans would be dancing with glee. The comments quickly accumulated until two dozen or more ghouls were crowing for more blood and laughing with joy. The paper got kinda nervous and then deleted the whole mess.
Every Monday and Friday morning James Kunstler writes a column voicing his awareness of how this world, especially this country, is spinning. The SFNM won’t write Iryna Varutska’s name onto their pages. However, Kunstler has posted the photo of Iryna gazing with horror into the eyes of her murderer. She’s already been stabbed three times and will be dead on the floor in the next minute. Kunstler gives way too much respect to the Republican party while I refuse to hold my breath awaiting government to solve anything. But read this and reflect. I’ve posted this article to SFNM and I’m betting any minute the thread will be dubbed “comments disabled.”

Her name last name is Zarutska. I don’t spell exotic unusual names correctly so early in the morning.
I have a more immediate problem to deal with.
NO HOT WATER. Oh dear.
So we took mostly unwarm showers.
Now I need to fix it.
I know how and it’s not a real big deal.
But it’s the fact that I DO have to deal with it at all.
And of course a trip to Menards to get elements and thermostats.
But first I have to put the meter to the components and see what’s up.
wunnerful, now this throws my schedule for the rest of the day off….
yeah, I could make a call, but what’s that going to cost?
$300?, $500? Can they even get to it today?
Better to know how to do it yourself, save a lot of money, time, and know it was done right.
“So we took mostly unwarm showers.”
Pretend you’re in your 20s, you and your squeeze are just getting to know each other – 3rd date or later, and there you are alone together next to a small waterfall on a hot day.
See? It’s not unwarm, it’s delightfully cool.
After reading that, that’s about as warm as I need to be.
So here it is, 4:30pm and the job is done.
No problems, no injuries, no 2nd trips to get stuff.
Just done.
Just remembered, the rebuild kit for our Moen Corrine kitchen faucet is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I’ve done this before too, and already the back of my legs are aching in anticipation.
Is it beer:30 yet?
They found a/the wind-up toy.
A few days ago, it was thought social media uncovered the guilty party as a radical tranzy from the area giving the tranzy name, not the birth name. I wonder if this is the same guy. That would really kick the apples from the upset cart, eh?
My pocketbook tells me how bad things have become. Regardless of opinions, or charts, in the last five years, around 25% is what has been eaten by those that don’t care how they influence with their greed.
Attended a luncheon today with the Lt. Governor (R) as speaker. I asked how they(the local R leadership) were treating the President’s order to remove all DEI from our universities. She responded very coldly that she and the governor had told our universities what the president oredered. . . . No follow up, no oversight, no nothing and no intention to enforce.
Those Republicans only want to tell me that they lowered my state property taxes–yes, the did and less than a month later the city upped them by 8%. In the meantime the corruption in our schools will continue unfettered. I have decided not to vote in the 2026 election. I think that if the R vote is dramatically decreased in the midterm election then maybe–just maybe– the local Republicans will get up to doing at least some of what we asked for in 2024. Maybe if they think they are going to loose big time in 2028 they just might get to work doing what they should be doing in time to win 2028
oh dear I just posted a comment but did not hit the “post” button, so here I go again. Please forgive if it ends up being a duplicate!
I went to a luncheon today with the Lt. Governor (R) speaking. She talked for a long time on they have cut our state property taxes–yes, the did–the city increased our city taxes less than month later. We are now paying more than before! Do you suppose the Dems who lost big time in 2024 made a “new deal” with the R leadership? Just asking.
I asked her what she and the governor were doing to enforce the president’s order to remove DEI from our universities. She responded coldly that they had avised the universities of the President’s order. . . No intent to support, no intent to enforce–nothing. DEI is alive and well under a different name being controlled and applied out of a slightly different office down the hall!
In 2022 and 2024 we gave the R a large majority victory. However, they have managed to do nearly nothing that we asked for. It is for this reason that I will not be voting in 2026. My thought is that if they loose badly enough in 2026 they will get going and get serious enought to win in 2028. They might earn that electoral victory by doing some of the things we asked for. For example they brag about getting a charter school system set up–yup, but only because it is under the total control of the local school unions (teamsters) WTH good does that do? We have too much open land that the R party wants to sell off to the highest bidder. Those internet places take up huge amount of space and they get that land very cheap because it sells at ag prices. The R leadershp claim they are creating jobs for our children. THE Hell they are. They are creating jobs for anyone working for those incoming businesses who want to live in MT!
During the last session (our sessions only last for 3 or 4 months every two years). During the last session some of the Republicans collaborated with some democrats to take the total authority away from the R leadership, so that the Dems had more control than the elected Republicans–go figure that one out. Then in June during the R leadership gathering the rest of the R stopped the “nine nasty senators” from being able to vote in the Republican convention. So what you see here is a piece of that lawsuit now taking place. https://www.ktvh.com/news/hearing-held-for-republican-senators-lawsuit-against-the-montana-gop. Also you can read more here from a better article: https://montanafreepress.org/2025/09/03/montana-gop-in-court-over-blocking-some-republican-senators-from-electing-party-leadership/
The “nasty nine” claim that all they were doing was giving the people what they wanted/needed (more medicaid). So Ghost–I think all of this pretty much fits in with your scenario.
“If people in general do not suffer direct and immediate consequences for their behavior they will always try to do the least while benefitting the most.”
— Raging Patriot, 2099
Ann sed: (Lt Governor) “She responded coldly….”
==================
If you had walked around the table behind her and quickly grabbed her by the back of the neck and slammed her face down HARD on the table, then stepped in front of her, leaned down, and while staring right into her bloody eye sockets asked, “Do you hear me now?”, you would have received her full and undivided attention like she would have given if she was anything other than a cold hearted and uncaring asswipe.
For far too long the political class has ASSumed they are the royal class in the US and they get to do whatever the hell they want and never suffer consequences, and, dare I say, make huge benefit in spite of their unethical behavior. They have forgotten who is in charge, who pays the bills.
Things will continue as they are, and even get much worse until this dynamic has changed and the only way that change will happen is the same way raging patriots made that type of change 250 years ago.
