“this time” and “Go away.” Well, now. A long time ago now, I had a very similar conversation with an emotional vampire about a month before my current wife and I decided we might be able to like each other well enough to begin to negotiate terms of endearment. The “go away” decision turned out to be a very good one in the end, and I wish you well with yours.
It can be a very difficult decision when it ends a long-term relationship of almost any kind. Often necessary to maintain, or retrieve, sanity.
