Tunesday: Python Lee Jackson – In A Broken Dream
A sample of some obscure – and maybe not obscure – tunes from my strange and off-the-wall collection.
Today’s selection: Python Lee Jackson – “In A Broken Dream” 1969/1972
Python Lee Jackson was an Australian band of the late 60s. They had one “hit” recorded in 1969 – In A Broken Dream – which featured Rod Stewart as guest vocalist. The song was re-released in 1972 on the album of the same name when Rod Stewart had become popular; it peaked at #56 on the US charts.
The band went through many iterations but Broken Dream was their only release to hit the charts. UTube has a version of Rod Stewart performing the song in 1992 with David Gilmour and John Paul Jones. He also placed the song on two of his anthologies. The song has been covered several times, notably by Thunder in 1996.

Never heard of it. But RS, DG, and JPJ? That’s definitely worth a look up.
Can’t wait to see who’s workin’ the skinz.
