Hey, Mr. Tambourine Man,
play a song for me
I'm not sleepy
and there ain't no place I'm goin' to
Hey, Mr. Tambourine Man,
play a song for me
In the jingle jangle morning,
I'll come followin' you
Take me for a trip upon
your magic swirling ship
All my senses have been stripped
And my hands can't feel to grip
And my toes too numb to step
Wait only for my boot heels to be wanderin'
I'm ready to go anywhere,
I'm ready for to fade
Unto my own parade
Cast your dancing spell my way
I promise to go under it
Observe closely the person to the right of Jesus. There has been a lot of “discussion” over the years as to whether or not Mary Magdalene was present at the last supper and this picture just may reflect the fact that Judas had already left.
I had to readjust my observation because I was lookin at the picture not realizing that lookin the person on my right was the not the person on his right. The person does look female.
Bear in mind, though, that this picture was painted over 1,000 years after the fact, and though the picture may reflect on the “discussion” over the years, it is simply an artist’s impression on canvas and the only fact it can factually represent is Scripture’s revelation that The Messiah and the disciples did indeed share a last supper.
The groups of 3 were not random artistic choises, they had theological significance… the holy trinity, the love, loyalty and leadership of discipleship… and other Renaissance symbolism. Like all of Da Vinci’s paintings there is always more than meets the eye.
