Arches
One of my favorite parks – just outside Moab, UT. One can avoid the crowded entry if one knows the back way in.

There will be more pics and tales of Arches to come.

Would you walk out on the middle of that?
What about staking a 2 man tent, making a small camp fire?
Sit there at midnight, sippin’ some juice, watching the satellites, listenin’ to the ‘yotes? I’d do it.
Great national park, and yes, the back way in is the best. Same can be said for Zion and the Canyonlands. Hit the big 5 out that way a couple of years ago, and setup our base in Duck Creek Village, UT and ventured out from there daily. There are some awe inspiring drives out thataway.
Tom Ryan, whom I wrote about a couple of days ago,
visits Moab with his two dogs. He and they are always
up at the crack of dawn so they can walk undisturbed
by other humans.
