Gerard’s recurring “Something Wonderful” posts were among my favorites.

We celebrated our 40th last year with a cruise around Italy. At our stop in Sorrento, I bought a bottle of Limoncello, which appears to me to have been made in somebody’s bathtub. I can’t say that I’m a Limoncello connoisseur, but it ain’t bad, and I made a nice Limoncello cake with it. Like the lady with her bread, homemade is always best.
