On This Day – 1978
It was a pretty good year for me …
Animal House was released July 28, 1978.
“Animal House is now regarded as one of the best comedy films of all time. In 2001, the United States Library of Congress deemed National Lampoon’s Animal House “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.“
Who’d’a’thought?
I can’t even imagine (nor would I want to) what this movie would be like if made today.
Not that it could be made today … anymore than Blazing Saddles could be.
I miss the 70s …
It’s also the day I arrived in Las Vegas on what turned into a residency rather than a visit; I never went back “home”.
I liked living in Vegas back then; I don’t recognize the place now.
Yes, it was a very good year.
Got out of the army 19 Jun 78, age 23.
Life began all over again, unrestrained!
Never seen Animal House.
Didn’t care too much for Belushi’s schtick.
Saw him on SNL a couple times.
Saw his brother in movies a couple times and he was OK.
’78 was the year I got married. Didn’t go well but lasted 19 years.
Love Animal House, though.

When I first heard the claim that Emmanuel Macron’s “wife” was actually a dude, I was skeptical.

Isn’t there a book titled “Becoming Michelle?” There isn’t a photo anywhere of Michelle pregnant. The two girls look shockingly similar to the Obama’s closest friends Anita Blanchard and her husband Martin Nesbit. A “google images” search will show you what I mean. Barry has been holed up several months now next door to this couple in Hawaii. There was the Larry Sinclair testimony of his sexual interactions with Barry in limos and hotel rooms back when the dude was an Illinois senator, and this sounded credible. There’s high school photos of Barry and Michael Robinson who is a dead ringer for Michelle. The Ellen Degeneres dance sequence and other moments when something is bouncing around in the trousers has been caught on video. But government never punishes itself. All this talk lately of Tulsi revealing the Russia caper is yet more distractions to avert your attention from what’s really going down.
I saved that bouncing vid to one of my hard drives.
If that ain’t proof I don’t know what is.
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! And it ain’t over now.
