What you’ve done there DT was to amalgamize the reason why I have not been around. Anywhere.

I don’t need any of that stuff and I have mostly rejected it. I don’t let the web “do me” any more.

I had a daily pattern for many years that manly amounted to exposing myself to all the most evil of everything the web has to offer and only in deep self reflection did something occur to me.

Habits are that way I suppose. You invite them in and the next thing you know they’re telling you what for – they own you.

3 weeks ago I broke that chain. I told Tom Hyland about it in email. I won’t live like this any more. I believe there is still some uselfulness in the web but it is becoming more and more fleeting with each passing day. Just about everywhere I look on line there is an overt amount of falsity in various forms.

It is becoming harder and harder to find truth online and if I am anything it is a staunch advocate of all things truth. Childish falsehoods bore me, adult falsehoods anger me, corporate-government falsehoods make me ball my fists and load magazines and sharpen blades.

I’m 71, and I’m tired. In the last chapter of the only life I’ll ever own and I’m going to live it my way and everyone else can go straight to hell. I suspect in the next year I will have molded my life to such a degree that I no longer have any contact with anyone through digital means. No banks, no communications, nothing. I’m going back to 1972, maybe further, and that’s where I’ll live til I die. The only thing I care about is my lifemate of 42 years. We sit on the porch and watch the hummingbirds and that is our nirvana and we created it ourselves. If you arrange the letters of the internet (www) just so they numerically equal 666, and I’m not a religious person.

Best to all and maybe I’ll stop back sometime, but don’t bet on it.

Hey ghost … I’d hope you might keep at least this tenuous connection; many here would miss what you have to say. But best to you in any case. I’ve a couple of years on you: mid/late ’70s works for me – before the computers took over.

GhostWriter, Wishing you the best in the future. You are an excellent writer. For me I’ll be dammed if I do not continue to speak up about the destruction of all that matters and I believe that on my judgement day I will not be asked to explain all my sins but will be asked how hard I tried to wake people up to the blessings we as Americans have and had.

Dear Ghost…FWIW, I am 82, and my DH is 83. We are both still actively trying to make this world a better place. I just came from a Republican luncheon. The R candidate is a good man. Retired veteran, articulate, knowledgeable, and I believe honorable. Trying to get him elected against an opponent who is declared socialist… that effort makes my life a little richer. As I write this he is on a zoom call working on a project to describe and explain the changes that we have seen in the last 50 years so that others can organize their own thoughts about how to move forward.

Would you like to help me create a little cabin on our place? We inherited a nice piece of land with a cabin that could be rescued. Take care and stay engaged!

I sat on a jury once. It was a jewelry store robbery, but it was a federal case because the knuckleheads came in from LA and then returned back to Compton or somewhere with the loot.

I’m not going to say that the case was cut and dried….the defense offered plenty of reasonable doubt. But I was convinced well enough to convict pretty early on. However, in our deliberations there were 2 women who just couldn’t get themselves to that point. We did eventually hash it out and convicted the single defendant in my jury service (the other had pled to lower charges if he would testify against his homie)

But I’ll never forget those 2 women. I think that the main reason that they didn’t want to convict was that they had a hard time judging someone else. There are people who go through life having never had to decide if X is better than Y. Put them on a jury, and they just freeze.

I’ll give that kid-killin’ woman’s lawyers this: They’ve done a good job of muddying the waters and making people (almost all of them women) question convicting her. Those lawyers have done their job. She still needs to hang though. You can’t kill kids, any of ’em, but your own kids especially.

It’s so very hard to not see and hear all this tragic hateful horrible terrible
disgusting human/animal waste of life. Too much just too much.

Ghost, I hope you do come back once in a while. You’ve added much here.
If not, be well, take care.

I’m going anonymous on this. I see no functional difference between pre-birth and post-birth abortion. Women have always had the power to kill their children. What’s different now is they have the legal protection to do the dirty deed or have it done for them, and protection from the social consequences. In times past, everyone knew who killed their child. The legal protection was for the first trimester, then the second, then the 3rd, and now the 4th and beyond. Where does it end? Don’t they see it? That grant of legal protection has corrupted women into madness. I have thought that 90% of the women in this country would see it burnt to the ground before they lose the power to kill their children.

Now we know how in barbarian societies they got all the children offered up for sacrifice to the gods. The women did it willingly and gladly.

This is madness, insanity. I’m coming round to the idea that far too many women in this country can’t be trusted any longer. And somehow the abortion djinn has to go back in the bottle, we have loosed demons upon ourselves. It’s a djinn that destroys women’s souls.

Fair winds and a following sea, Ghostie. I get it, man, all too well.

Now as to this Daughter of Molech…….used to be that “let justice be done, though the heavens fall” was a thing in this country (fiat justitia, ruat caelum). Letting this one skate will mean the end of that moral construct. She may well be crazy, how could a mother kill her own children and not be crazy, but we still shoot rabid dogs in this country, don’t we? Or is that another quaint yet barbaric tradition abandoned in these more enlightened times? There ain’t a nickel’s worth of difference between that one and a rabid dog.

Is how I see it, anyway.
