It’s funny that you mentioned the former US-666 today. Just yesterday I saw a story about what was called “The Arrow Tree” located near the Arizona portion of US-666 (now US-191).
Kind of like the shoe tree on US50 in Nevada; cut down in 2010 by vandals. A nearby tree took over.
I seem to remember the road was renumbered a few years back for various reasons, not the least of them being that the road signs disappeared regularly.
