Jean, you could be describing northern Michigan over the months of October through to the new year in March.

Ohio is in that mix also.

You describe the Pacific Northwest to a tee but I haven’t seen any “bare trees” that resemble those. See them in the Northeast from PA to Maine but not out west.

Someday I’d love to see the PNW.

Gerard posted up something about “Man, you just got to go” once. Can’t find it in the book nor in all the content I downloaded before This Is the End played in the background. And he had so very, very much content, and I feel somewhat diminished for letting that one get away from me, dammit. Maybe that wasn’t the title and I’ll stumble over it in the pile somewhere.

But Jean, girl, you just got to go while you still can. Pack a bag or just a toothbrush and just get the hell gone. Trust your old Unkle WWW on this one.

Just can’t leave right now, Unkle. Too much going on here.
But, boy-howdy do I wanna!

Technically, I live in the PNW but I’m guessing you mean the coastal areas (400 miles or so from me). Beautiful country. The sequoias are big, the coastal redwoods are tall (some close to 400ft). Prepare for “wet”, even if the locals swear it’s dry. If you get to Seattle, definitely check out Ivar’s. Go to (and learn to pronounce) Sequim on the peninsula. Humptulips just for the name if nothing else. Have a good time. Bring your stuff, you may want to stay.
