Music Lesson From ghostsniper
NORWEGIAN WOOD
I once had a girl
Or should I say
She once had me
She showed me her room
Isn’t it good
Norwegian wood
She asked me to stay
And she told me to sit anywhere
So I looked around
And I noticed there wasn’t a chair
I sat on a rug
Biding my time
Drinking her wine
We talked until two
And then she said
“It’s time for bed”
She told me she worked in the morning
And started to laugh
I told her I didn’t
And crawled off to sleep in the bath
And when I awoke
I was alone
This bird had flown
So I lit a fire
Isn’t it good
Norwegian wood
Here’s 2 instructional vids that break it down so even a caveman can grasp it.
Note, both show a capo on the 2nd fret but I never do that.
Depends on the comfort range of your voice.
My suggestion is to just play the chords until you are comfortable and no mistakes.
Then, sing the lyrics with the chords. This is more difficult than you might think but completely doable.
After you’ve assigned that to mental and muscle memory you can tackle the finger picking part which is fairly simple.
Note the finger picking mimics the voice-lyrics and it’ll come right to ya.

Wish you’d been around when I owned a guitar. Thanks anyway, enjoyed the lyrics and always loved the tune.
I have looked at the picture numerous times and have come to the conclusion that there is something eerie about it. Just cannot put my finger on what.
A sauna with no roof? ’tis odd.
Back when my fingers still worked well enough to still keep a few guitars lounging about here at the tar paper shack, this was one of my favorite songs to play. It’s easy, and even a voice like mine, which will normally set the farm cats to screeching and howling, doesn’t mangle it too badly. At least not to my own ears. After all, if John Lennon could pull it off, how hard can it be? Sweet little love song too: Boy meets girl, girl disses boy, so boy sets her house afire after she leaves for work. Rubber Soul was my favorite Beatles album.
