Jefferson Davis
died on this date, 1889 at age 81
“Several notable Northern lawyers offered their free services to defend him in a treason trial, which Davis longed for. The government, however, never forced the issue—because, many believe, it feared that such a trial might establish that the original Constitution gave the states a right to secede.“

Davis died in 1889 in New Orleans of a complicated bronchial ailment. At his temporary interment he was accorded the greatest funeral the South had ever known. On May 31, 1893, he was buried permanently in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond.
Lincoln illegally invaded sovereign States when they exercised their right to withdraw from the voluntary union. Regardless of the narrative – the victors write the histories – the invasion had more to do with the economics of cotton (the global commodity of its day) than slavery or “save the union”. It was Lincoln that changed the nation from a union of sovereign States to a centralized Union of subservient states.
I was raised “Yankee” but looking at different levels of history, including family papers, my participating ancestors fought for their State, not some need to Save The Union (the slavery issue came up later in the war). The family at the time was anti-slavery but pro “States Rights”. They aligned with the north (in a state militia, not directly the US Army) simply because the Confederates invaded the neutral State and raided close to their home.
G’grandpa was with mounted infantry, mostly performing scouting duties, primarily in eastern Kentucky. His brothers were scattered around, one of whom served with him, another was with the Confederates. They all survived the war.
The only major battles g’gramps was part of were Salyersville, Cynthiana, and Saltville I (which was the only time his unit left the state). He was part of the action at Mt Sterling, chasing Morgan’s raiders, New Haven, and Roaring Springs. He mustered out in December ’64, before Saltville II. My father’s grandfather; he died at age 61, long before my father was born.
Kentucky was a torn state during and after the war, more so than the “true” southern states. Kentucky had a star on both flags – Kentucky being the central star on what people think of as the Confederate flag. Those issues still persist; I have a close cousin who is proud of her Confederate heritage … even though her g’grandfather, her only direct ancestor in the war, was a proud member of the GAR as stated on his tombstone. Facts sometimes get in the way of the desired narrative.

GAR?
“– the victors write the histories –”
Thus, 99% of the citizenry today are wholly ignorant to what took place during that period. Yes, the public school system bares the blame.
I was born in Gettysburg.
The public school system was largely created by John Rockefeller, J.P. Morgan and Andrew Carnegie. George Carlin described how the system is built to create obedient workers, just smart enough to run the machines but incapable of collecting their thoughts to ponder how the hell they were thrown overboard to accept a hellish demise.
“In our dreams, people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hands. The present education conventions of intellectual and character education, fade from their minds and unhampered by tradition, we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive folk. We shall not try to make these people, or any of their children, into philosophers, or men of science. We have not to raise up from them authors, educators, poets or men of letters. We shall not search for great artists, painters, musicians nor lawyers, doctors, preachers, politicians, statesmen — of whom we have an ample supply. The task is simple. We will organize children and teach them in a perfect way the things their fathers and mothers are doing in an imperfect way.” – John D. Rockefeller
“I don’t want a nation of thinkers. I want a nation of workers.” Rockefeller again in 1903 upon creating the General Education Board (GEB)
“The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) was a fraternal organization composed of veterans of the Union Army (United States Army), Union Navy (U.S. Navy), and the Marines who served in the American Civil War. It was founded in 1866 in Decatur, Illinois, and grew to include thousands of “posts” (local community units) across the North and West. It was dissolved in 1956 at the death of its last member, Albert Woolson.”
Abraham Lincoln was the worst President because he started the fire. The other horrible Presidents, lots of them such as Wilson, FDR, LBJ, W are complicit because they took off their jackets and fanned the flames just like the guy who set the woman on fire in the subway car. Arguments about who’s the worst will abound forever but I believe Lincoln takes the crown.
The “united States” that’s the proper spelling, small u and capital S, was a group of separate countries that allowed an administrative office in Washington DC to coin money, raise armies, and facilitate political discourse. Not much of a union so Lincoln built the corporate monster that whips us and the rest of the world daily, sets us on fire and laughs as it’s pissing on us all the while waving a jacket, i.e., the American flag.
The black slaves were never freed. They were never recognized as human beings born with God-given unalienable Rights protected by the Constitution. There was a whole new citizen created in 1868 called titled “u.s. Citizen” via the 14th Amendment and these creatures are citizens of the corporation, something that exists only on paper, and residents of a corporate franchise called VA, NY, NC, PA, IL, etc. It would be far more advantageous to declare you’re a resident of KFC because that entity wasn’t declared bankrupt in 1933 like the DC monster and it’s franchises plus it provides a dozen secret herbs and spices.
The Constitution limited taxation to such a minute degree that the banker ghouls insisted a whole new citizen must be created that can be taxed into oblivion. This u.s. Citizen was disallowed to own property and pays a rental charge allowing him to USE his stuff. He may sell whatever to another USER but that guy is never going to own it, either. There used to be a word that appeared in dictionaries long ago but is difficult to find anymore. This is from the original Webster’s 1828:
“ALLODIUM: Freehold estate; land which is the absolute property of the owner; real estate held in absolute independence, without being subject to any rent, service, or acknowledgement to a superior. It is thus opposed to feudal. In England, there is no allodial land, all land being held of the King; but in the United States most lands are allodial.” All of that changed on March 9, 1933 when President Franklin Roosevelt declared the United States bankrupt by and through executive order nos. 6073, 6102, 6111, and 6260. On April 26, 1933 came Senate Resolution no. 62 which reads in part: “The ultimate ownership of all property is in the State; individual “ownership” is only by virtue of Government, i.e., law, amounting to mere user; and use must be in accordance with law and subordinate to the necessities of the State.” Actually, the Federal Reserve owns everything. The Fed holds the bankrupt United States in receivership. The Fed recruited the tattered remnants of our government to enforce the terms of the bankruptcy. The Fed are the banker ghouls I referred to earlier.
The reckless and dangerous nature of having TWO categories of American citizenship was expressed in dissension by Supreme Court Justice John Harlan in Downes v. Bidwell, 182 U.S. 244 (1901). Justice Harlan wrote, “The idea prevails with some… that we have in this country substantially two national governments; one to be maintained under the Constitution, with all its restrictions; the other to be maintained by Congress outside and independently of that instrument…. if the principles thus announced should ever receive the sanction of a majority of this court, a radical and mischievous change in our system will result. We will, in that event, pass from the era of constitutional liberty guarded and protected by a written constitution into an era of legislative absolutism…. It will be an evil day for American Liberty if the theory of a government outside the Supreme Law of the Land finds lodgment in our Constitutional Jurisprudence. No higher duty rests upon this court than to exert its full authority to prevent all violation of the principles of the Constitution.”
In spite of the grave warning of Justice Harlan, the ill-conceived 14th Amendment and its creation of a second-class citizen unworthy and disallowed of unalienable God-given Rights protected by our Constitution is a virus that has spread until now almost every American has been enveloped and diseased; permanently cast down to the level of a recently “freed” slave. I did something about my own status and declared myself to be a “Non-citizen National” which is one of the two citizens the State Department provides a passport for. If the passport application form mentioned there’s two citizens… the u.s. Citizen… and the Sovereign American, then all hell would break loose. The form also warns you to NOT insert an affidavit or you won’t receive your passport, but I DID and I threw in the kitchen sink. I had the affidavit recorded as public record and demanded the State Department keep the document in their files. I’ve done this twice now and though I don’t know where the hell to go I like having that passport in my toolkit.
That’s quite a mouthful. OUR democracy my ass.
“When the representative body have lost the confidence of their constituents, when they have notoriously made sale of their most valuable rights, when they have assumed to themselves powers which the people never put into their hands, then indeed their continuing in office becomes dangerous to the state, and calls for an exercise of the power of dissolution.” — Thomas Jefferson
Tom. You have my sincerst appreciation for your actions. Stay strong.
Why thanks, Joe! I’ve studied these events vigorously due to my curiosity for why everything is broken. If you mention the Constitution in a courtroom you are warned to “Zip It!” or you will be held in contempt of court and possibly fined and/or jailed. That’s because the judge is conducting “silent judicial notice” in that he assumes you are a U.S. citizen and you never had any Constitutional Rights to begin with. Ghost said at the top of the page that the public school system is to blame for the systematic ignorance of the population. Then I added what Rockefeller thought people were worth. I’m glad you stopped by to say hello. When I write this kind of stuff it’s usually met with the sound of crickets. And in the local newspaper I receive lots of thumbs down and written insults. People believe government loves and protects them. If everyone knew what I know this evil would end before nightfall and there wouldn’t be enough rope to hang the current traitors that are in charge.
“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.” Henry Ford
I say this is not well enough and the revolution should begin before tomorrow morning.
You’re right, as usual, Tom. Thinking about Joe’s Jefferson quote above, and another one…something about the founders fortunes and lives on the line, from way back when. The enormity of the thing. And how it’s still like that today 200+ years later. We all know the gov’t is mostly criminal but if we try to do anything about it we’ll quickly find out what it’s like to be a criminal – caged or killed.
We’re approaching a time where a little thing, somewhere out in the republic, will happen and the next thing you know it will be game on.
But most likely things will just keep going like they are and getting a little worse each day, as all of us are averse to friction and are just trying to get as we can. Nobody wants to “bell the cat”, because the penalty is so high.
I’ve thought for a long time now that the system is so far gone that nothing but total collapse is the only way this thing will ever “start” to be righted. I’m talking about the way money of controlled and used as a weapon against the citizenry while simultaneously creating lifestyles of royalty for the few.
I’m a fairly simple person in all things and eschew complexity and complexity seems to be the name of the game in the financial industry as there is so much about it that I just don’t understand nor want to. I’ve read extensively about the financial system over and over but there are aspects to it that I just don’t understand and I believe those very aspects are what’s going to drop the house of cards. Dollars and silver coins are as complicated as I get. And lead.
Fellow “common sense thinkers”. It has been years since I was involved to any degree in Constitution studies and that was on a as needed basis. My “hobby” has been exploring the Bible. I have found that there is much to explore and that deep dives truly bring out the ugly side of so call pablum pukers in the pulpits. At one time in the past we as a nation had a strong sense of what is right and what is wrong. No more. Here is another picture from this beloved website that speaks volumes, oh how we either forget or were never taught.
Flips out many of the Christians I know:
Matt10:34: Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
I’m enjoying the hell out of these Franklin memes lately. Funny as can be. He’s actually a very nice turtle… but passionate.
Here’s a couple of my favorite Jefferson quotes that are so real and relevant it’s freakish… “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”
And this snippet from the Declaration of Independence describing just one of a long list of crimes George III was laying on We The People… “He has erected a Multitude of new Offices, and sent hither Swarms of Officers to harass our People, and eat out their Substance.” Sound familar?
Indeed… gold & silver… backed by lead.
