’59 Chevy Impala

Saw this classic “fin-car” in Grand Junction, Colorado. As a young’un, I rode in the station wagon version.
This was the year the Impala model took over “top-of-the-line” from the Bel Air. The Impala model sold just shy of 500,000 units; this style was considered the second generation Impala, the 1958 was first generation. The fins went away in the 1960 model.

That should read, “The fins went away AFTER the 1960 model”.
The 1960 looked very similar to the 1959.
My dad had a light blue 1959 El Camino, and my mom had a red 1960 Impala 4 door.
Also, the pik above is missing a major chrome trim piece down the full length of the side, as seen in the pik below.
You’re right: “after the 1960 model”
It’s as if it’s a nationwide script.
========================
Rolled out as needed.
Governor Maura Healey issued the following statement:
“I’m grateful for the heroic efforts of law enforcement…
While we try to make sense of this senseless violence…
…we mourn the loss of…
…our hearts are with the MIT and Brown communities.
…law enforcement across all levels of government…
…keep our communities safe.”
(except when it doesn’t, which is most of the time)

It’s “senseless” because the narrative doesn’t allow a cause to be “them” or “those others”. It’s time to get biblical: “an eye for and eye, a tooth for a tooth” without years of appeals. The innocent should have a right to a speedy trial – and sentencing.
