If you live with your eyes wide open you realize it can happen at any given moment and when you least expect it.

Turmoil doesn’t happen by appointment, but rather at the worst possible time.

Say, your rusty water main goes out at the same time the sewer backs up, then the electricity goes out.

At midnight. In the rain, after snowing for 3 days, at 15 degrees.

Can you find a portable light source at night from any place in your house?

(We have a 3 (D) cell LED Maglite in every room in the house.)

Can you create drinking/cooking water (coffee in the morning)?

(We have a 5 gal container of filtered water in the laundry room, and 4 more of them on the rear deck)

Can you heat water for cooking/cleaning?

(We have a small butane/propane countertop stove and stainless steel (not teflon) pot that do nicely)

New and clean (potable) 5 gallon buckets with lids are inexpensive and very valuable.

Prep for:
Immediate Emergency,
3 days – a week
Long term permanent

If you have questions, ask.

This is the most unusual cat you will ever see.

His name is Sal, and he’s our grand daughters Snowshoe Cat.

He has sky blue eyes and was unbelievably expensive.

Er, Sal is a gurl, and no, she has never worked on the Erie Canal.
Yes, those are 2 black spots on her nostrils (1 each).
You know you were wondering what I considered expensive.
