This is very late in the season for a turtle to be strutting about. Maybe 10 years ago I found a very small Box turtle in our driveway in late Nov. Believing it wouldn’t make it with the weather getting colder and it was not already in hibernation I brought it into my office and created a make shift environment for it to ride out the winter. Fed it fruits and vegs and it did well. Until early March when it had fallen off a rock and landed upside down in the water. It was dead. I had named it Novy because I found it in November. Here he is:
