I can barely tolerate that dood. But I keep tryin’. So much gravy for so little meat. I’ll keep my eye on his 01MAY date.

I hear you about “tolerating”; he’s not a regular read. But in this case, once you sift through the chaff, I pretty much don’t disagree with him. With our experience “helping” that scum in 1993 and on-going piracy, I wonder why we bring those **** into our country. Kick ’em out, keep ’em out. Every single one of them. Now.

I am not a “love all people” type.

“That dude” is a blogger under the nom de plume of “Big Country Expat”. An ex-military guy that sometimes falls off the rails. He’s rather explicit in his dislike for somalis.

If you are interested, google “A True Somalia Story and Time to Clean The Infestation”. It’s a bit rough so take this as a warning if needed.

Excerpted from this gentleman’s article: “earning himself a Silver Star w/”V” device (valor) in the process” (emphasis added).

Uh…….The “V” device is awarded for Valor. “Valor” means you did something a bit more than ordinarily heroic while somebody on the opposing team was trying really hard to shoot your ass off. The device is affixed to awards such as the Bronze Star or the Commendation Medal to indicate their award was for Valor, as opposed to those Bronze Star or Commendation Medals awarded “merely” for meritorious service, which have no special device to so indicate.

Unlike those lesser awards, the Silver Star is only awarded for Valor and never “merely” for meritorious service. Hence the Silver Star does not need a special device to indicate an award for Valor; Valor is the sole reason for the award, so the “V” device is not affixed to it.

Pretty basic stuff, really. You learn that stuff early on and anybody with that dood’s background shouldn’t be making that kinda rookie mistake. Make of that what you will.
