World’s Most Beautiful Airport
San Francisco International Airport’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1 received the top honor.
Why you might ask?
“Harvey Milk Terminal 1 was designed to establish a new benchmark for an extraordinary airport experience, bringing to life our mission to put people and planet first. Being the first airport terminal in the world named for an LGBTQ+ leader only enhances the significance of this recognition, and my thanks go out to the entire project team for this milestone achievement“

Oh oh… I would challenge this–do you remember Saarinen? TWA New York in 1962? Take a look here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mw1sVlm4BKY It looks to me like SOM was peeking over someone elses drawing board! 🙂
All airports since the 70’s look about the same.
I was a lead designer on the Indianapolis airport and it was all swoopy, 80 foot ceilings, 3 story escalators, walls of glass, 40 foot corridors, etc.
I’m presently working on a whole new restaurant concept that I came up with a couple years ago. It’s the only one like it anywhere in the world and may be the industry standard in short order. I have created everything from the name, to the business model, the building and site and all equipment, and everything else.
