This has been in the local news recently seeing as the state line is right over there … and it’s heavy ranch and farming country (and desert as well to be fair). Going to be fun, fishing by boat from the Snake River.
One side you fix yourself a meal; the other, the county fixes it for you.
One segment:

Two things I noted:
1) Tyler Durden is a pseudonym: This “feels” like it was written by AI … or equally “flat”, a committee.
2) Not just vegans
Know how to tell if someone is a vegetarian?
Just wait 30 seconds and they’ll tell you.
In 2 years you will be so sick of AI you could scream bloody murder.
I’m in the middle, now, as there are parts of it I like and a BIG part that gets on my nerve.
In the bigger pik, I’m teetering on the edge of dumping ALL technology over the side. It’s all becoming more of a burden than a convenience.

I think you’ll find that’s not possible without going hard-core off the grid. And even that’s hard to do (you have a business. taxes? property? bank transactions?). Your absence would be noted. Your attempt will be noted. Being “remote” doesn’t hide you; actually makes you easier to pick out. IF they want you; WHEN they want you.
Think “counter-intelligence” and funny as it sounds, counter-counter-intelligence. Immerse yourself in technology.
Because I’m in a public forum I can’t go into detail but I have accomplished about 90% of your “off grid” scenario 25+ years ago.
I’ve written here and other places many times, when you live in a land of criminal tyranny you have to get used to the idea of living as an outlaw. outlaw = outside the law
Events over the past few months have proven to me that technology is a farce. When it works as it’s supposed to life can be wonderfully convenient, but when it fails simultaneously on multiple levels it’s ugly heart is revealed.
I prefer low level success over high level failure because peace of mind is my ultimate goal.

My manager wanted me to look at some applicants resume. It was perfect. Too perfect it screamed AI. I told my manager the applicant may not be able to think on his/her feet and to throw that resume out.
Speaking of California………..I am driving from Van Nuys back to Pasadena earlier today. There is some beautiful country on that stretch through the mountains. I get near my turn-off and turned too early. Look back and all clear so I cross the double white lines and get back on the highway. Traffic is only moving at 20MPH max. Easy and safe move with a big gap to pull into. I get back on the highway and a CA HIPO catches my view. Shit. Sure enough I make my exit and get pulled over. I roll down my window, both hands at 10 o’clock on the steering wheel with driver license in hand and I call him SIR! Young officer, physically fit with a neatly trimmed mustache. We jabber about crossing double white lines and I am respectful the whole time. He updates me on CA law, asks me if I need directions and then tells me to be on my way. Nice guy. Even if he gave me a ticket, so what?
Now what do you think would have happened if I had a case of the ass when he approached my rental car? Answer: Ticket.
YOUTUB is full of vidoes of people getting pulled over, getting crazy stupid and turning a warning into a felony.
I never call my subordinates “Sir”. Maybe that’s just how I was raised.
Otherwise, do everything you think you need to do to prevent you and your dog from being shot.
