And in keeping with the track theme of this post, here’s the cat’s tracks dragging the bunny across my bridge. Attempted to track it further but once it hit the main road my lane empties onto I lost the track.

That almost looks more like a coyote than bobcat. Pretty good-sized rabbit (don’t know where you live but could that be a jack rabbit? looks large for a cottontail)

It’s definitely the bobcat’s track, DT. No jackrabbits up this way, to my understanding, and I’ve personally never put my eyes on one, but an old timer up here I’ve made friends with says snowshoe hares are up here, or at least used to be, and I’ve not put my eyes on one of those either. Large population of cottontails, though, and there are a number of large cottontails, which I see almost daily.

Hi, Jean. The tracks are from the bobcat as it was dragging the bunny across our bridge.
