I remember, and I commented.
The small town in that article is about 3 hours due north of me.
In fact, the main north-south road in Argos is, with a different name, about 2 miles east of me.

Climate changes regardless of man interaction. I grew up in a small town east of Wichita. Most of the downtown buildings are made of locally quarried limestone. Many years ago Kansas was an ocean.

And now it’s a sea of amber waves of grain.

I read somewhere that someone did the leg work and found out Dillon got shot about 300 times in 20 years.

What is the most loved smell in the world?
==========================================

Scientific research shows vanilla is the most universally loved smell in the world.

A landmark study by researchers at the University of Oxford and Sweden’s Karolinska Institutet found that people from diverse cultures and isolated communities, regardless of their background, consistently rank vanilla as the most pleasant scent.

While our scent preferences were once thought to be purely learned through culture, scientists now know that humans are biologically hardwired to prefer certain molecular structures.

The top universally loved scents broadly fall into a few distinct categories:

Warm & Sweet:
Vanilla ranks first, followed closely by notes like cinnamon and peaches.

Fresh & Calming:
Lavender often tops global public surveys for its clean and relaxing properties.

Earthy & Nostalgic:
Smells like freshly brewed coffee, the smell of rain (petrichor), and freshly cut grass.
