Thank you. “I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?”

It’s interesting that a number of churches I am familiar with in Grand Rapids, MI implemented protection with armed men patrolling even prior to Covid being inflicted on the world.

I also am aware of a Christian school in the GR area that has been hardened, with bulletproof glass throughout a rapid response team.

I’m pulling back all the way around. Starting with myself and radiating outward I am cutting back, trimming the fat with a chainsaw, decluttering (self, mind and soul), eliminating everything that I disagree with (as much as I can) and working to getting back to basics in all things.

Ayn Rand said, “When you leash a dog, you leash yourself.”
ghost expands, “When you own stuff, the stuff owns you.”

The things you associate with, you’ll become.
I have been associating with a lot of stuff for a long time, that I don’t want to be. This year will most likely be the end of my “presence” online. That is to say, I am going to stop saying anything, anywhere online. I’ll still be online, but in observation mode only.

I seen the best years of this country, and also the best years of the internet, and I now believe both are in a fast and steep decline. I also know what is at the root of it, and there is nothing I, or anyone else, can do about it.

On a grand scale, EVERYTHING has got to fail. In the broadest sense of the word, there is too much evil in this world. Everything is out of balance and everything blows.

I want to live in a world where truth and trust are paramount, and responsibility and merit are the rule. Right now all of those things are largely missing in action. I will not participate, and will “downsize” my life to parameters that are less influenced and more manageable.

I have to be, even if that means being alone (with my wife and Sparkle).

“even if that means being alone (with my wife and Sparkle).”
and NAD of course … even just to know you are not alone even if you are alone. You’re not just some semi-anonymous commenter here

Wow! Scraping the dust off old brain cells. A band I once knew and had forgotten – until I saw the album cover and listened to the tunes. Now part of my collection. (everything’s on Utube, eh?)
Thanks for the memories 🙂

I sometimes go to a R luncheon. It’s stated purpose is to open dialogue. For years we have had 99% R speakers come to our luncheon.

Last year when we had finally won total control of the state legis
lature we found out very quickly (three weeks) that 12 of our “elected representatives” were voting with the D party and thus taking away the R ability to make any decisions in the legislature. More recently we found out that those 12 (dirty dozen) had been funded by the D party, and also nine of them had their election campaigns and their training been supplied by the previous head of the state D party! So, even if we win, we are losing. Our R
LT. Governor came to speak and told us that they are not interested in bothering with either of our universities. That is to say they were not going to try to enforce the law against DEI.

This last Friday, we had a young Democrat come to speak. He is second in command in the legislature for the D party. His message was “we want to collaborate”. In the previous session, the first time that the R party also had the dominant vote, we were able to pass a bill to establish independent school choice. The D party went ballistic. They were able to get the judges (all D ) to outlaw our bill. Then, after much screaming and hollering, they agreed we could have charter schools as long as we agreed to having a panel of “education pros” doing the oversight.

Last Friday I asked young Mr. Democratic Wonderful if he was willing to include a Catholic Nun with 40 years of experience on that “oversight” panel. The kid damn near puked right there! You could see him get confused and dizzy! So much for the noble and honorable democratic party of MT. Ballots go out next week for the primary. This will be a very interesting year. I suspect there are many, many people here in state who feel and are doing the same as Ghostsniper!

As a gift for Ghost I offer this most recent article: https://www.sfgate.com/realestate/article/san-mateo-eichler-22228539.php

That seems to be the latest tactic. Ds registering as Rs – people still vote party instead of person. There is no voting out of this. My Rep – Fulcher – has an 85 rating according to the Freedom Index; “my” Senator – Risch – a 74. Better than most, not as good as it could be.

I guess if I were younger, I wouldn’t know any better, but being older, I do. Too old to do anything, too young to avoid the consequences. So I try to stay in the backcountry and keep my head in the sand (while keeping my head up to see what’s coming)

That run between Kennedy’s assassination and 9/11 was pretty spectacular overall, wasn’t it?

I do not always agree 100% with Ghost, but I listen to his input and wisdom. Others should take note and contemplate his thoughts. Dood can make you adjust your perspective for sure.

Church. I go with my Glox 17. Always. Usually with two additional magaines. 48 rounds total. Yes, I know I can stuff one more into each mag 17 X 3 = 51 rounds. Hydro shocks and some 124gr. hollow point hand loads. I have no desire to kill anyone but that is a man’s responsibility when called upon. I am self aware. I shoot at the range almost weekly, werk has me out more than anticipated. Someone else can call 911. Tell them to bring a wet/dry shop vac because it will all be over by the time they get there, whether I am still standing or not.

Yes, I look forward to meeting Jesus, but not any time soon.

Did not go home this past weekend but to my next werk location. Went to church Sunday at St. John in Milpitas CA. 99% Pinoy church community. The singing was beautiful. Wonderful experience.

Swam in the hotel pool early Sunday. 56F outside. My balls reappeared about 2:30PM.
